Position- Part-Time Games Teacher (Physical Education) Needed for Sycamore Creek Community Charter School Sycamore Creek Community Charter School is seeking compassionate, joyful, and collaborative part-time Games Teacher to join our vibrant faculty supporting our Teaching staff. We are looking for exceptional individuals who are passionate about children and being a part of their development. We also encourage like-minded educators who are eager to embrace Waldorf pedagogy to apply. In addition, we are searching for applicants who have knowledge of physical education, enjoy instructing children in collaborative movement and gross motor activities, and hold a California Single Subject P.E. or Multiple Subject credential.

Requirements / Qualifications

Responsibilities: Inspire and nurture young minds in a supportive and creative environment Maintain a calm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment Support and uphold classroom rhythms, routines, and classroom rules Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play. Promote independent play, social-emotional development, peer relationships, and self-regulation skills Support students’ social emotional well-being throughout the day Be a part of a community that values collaboration, innovation, and lifelong learning Participate in onsite professional development to deepen understanding of Waldorf principles and practices Foster an inclusive environment that promotes diversity, equity, and belonging Ensure student safety and follow all school policies and procedures Qualifications: Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting. Waldorf training preferred, or interest in, or familiarity with Waldorf education Strong desire to learn classroom management and communication skills Ability to adapt, take initiative, and maintain a positive attitude Strong collaborative skills and a dedication to fostering a vibrant school community Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development A valid CA credential (Multiple Subject or Physical Education Single Subject) Must pass a background check and TB assessment
