Job Summary
Under the supervision of the school administrator and/or Education Specialist, the Instructional and Behavioral Special Education Support Staff will monitor and support students with IEPs in the learning environment to maximize their learning in a high-performing, National Blue Ribbon, and California Distinguished School. The Instructional and Behavioral Special Education Support Staff will embrace and model Steven Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and establish rapport with both students and fellow staff as they carry out their duties. Under the direction of the Education Specialist, they will support students with an IEP, implement behavioral and instructional supports, monitor and report student behavior and performance to the classroom teacher and Education Specialist, and supervise students in the classroom, on the playground, and in the lunch area.
