Metropolitan Education District (MetroED) is a regional provider of Career Technical Education (CTE) and Adult Education. As the largest organization of its kind in Santa Clara County, we are dedicated to offering career-oriented education to both high school and adult students. Annually, MetroED provides 2,600 diverse students with the skills to help them be productive, income-earning, and tax-paying contributors to Silicon Valley. MetroED collaborates with designated districts to provide comprehensive educational opportunities for adults and high school students. Through our Silicon Valley Career Technical Education program, we offer career technical education to high school students and, on a space-available basis, to adult students in the following districts: Campbell Union High School District, East Side Union High School District, Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District, Milpitas Unified School District, San Jose Unified School District, and Santa Clara Unified School District. Job Summary

We are seeking a collaborative Human Resources leader to support employees and advance innovative Career Technical and Adult Education programs. Under the general direction of the Superintendent, the Director of Human Resources provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all human resources functions at MetroED, a Joint Powers Authority serving six partner school districts. The Director ensures legal and contractual compliance, supports a positive organizational culture, and administers employment and labor relations processes for all employee groups. To best serve the diverse students, families, and communities of MetroED, the Director builds and sustains human resource systems that are equitable, inclusive, and responsive.

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience: •Minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible administrative and human resources leadership experience, preferable in K-12, career technical, or adult education settings. •Three (3) years of secondary teaching experience Education and Credentials: •Clear California Administrative Services Credential •Bachelor’s degree (Master's Degree preferred) in the field of human resources, education, business administration, public administration or related field.
