Requirements / Qualifications
A valid Elementary/Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. State and federal laws mandate that any educator providing specialized instruction to EL students (like a pull-out English Language Development class or push-in academic support) must hold an official EL endorsement. CLAD Certificate / EL Authorization: (Cross-cultural, Language, and Academic Development). This authorizes the teacher to provide Designated ELD (targeted language instruction during pull-out) and Integrated ELD / SDAIE (Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English during push-in).
