Job Summary

Under the direction of the site administrator and in collaboration with the Special Education Department, the Education Specialist Teacher – Mild/Moderate Support Needs provides specialized academic instruction, behavioral support, and case management services to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The Education Specialist develops and implements standards-based instructional programs designed to meet the unique educational, social-emotional, behavioral, and functional needs of students in a variety of educational settings while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district requirements.

Letter of Introduction Letter of Recommendation (at least 3 within the Last 12 months) Resume Education Specialist Credential -Mild/Moderate Support Needs EL Authorization required

The East Whittier City School District provides educational opportunities (transitional kindergarten through eighth grade, including special education) for approximately 7,400 children.
