Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Superintendent or designee. The Health Coordinator position manages, supervises, plans, and coordinates safety and compliance; and health services programs and activities, including medical, dental, nutrition, and safety services; coordinates assigned activities and services. Trains staff to assess family/child health needs; coordinates with staff in assisting families to meet children’s health needs by linking them to community resources and services; oversees of all health and safety related compliance concerns.

Position Requirements: Experience: Previous experience working in a school district. Three (3) years experience in a position of responsibility in the field of health services Experience working with families of children with disabilities Experience supervising, mentoring, and evaluating health services staff Required Qualifications: 1. Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited university, Master’s Degree preferred. 2. Valid California Registered Nursing license. 3. Valid California School Nurse credential. 4. High level of organizational ability, patience, helpfulness, diligence, persistence, and a willingness to work with staff of a collegial basis to reach District determined school health goals. 5. Possess and maintain training certificates in First Aid and CPR. 6. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
