Directly responsible to the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services for the complete administration of an elementary school; serves as the educational leader for the school; manages and administers a total school program that is committed to excellence.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: Academic Training and Credentials: Master's Degree Valid appropriate California Administrative Credential authorizing service as an elementary principal. Experience: Strong background with a record of successful experience as a teacher; ability to provide leadership in standards-based curriculum and instruction to the staff at the elementary school level. Experience as an administrator is preferred. Bilingual proficiency desirable. Other Professional Qualifications: Ability to involve, establish rapport and work effectively with teachers, students, counselors, parents and classified personnel; effective communication skills, both verbal and written; sound organizational and planning ability; knowledge of, and involvement with, effective instructional programs.
