Requirements / Qualifications

THE POSITION: The ideal candidate will have experience in a school setting or public educational agency and strong customer service skills. The Support Center Specialist position is committed to providing technical support to agency staff, students, and, at times, ACOE's various school districts in a prompt and efficient manner. The candidate should have strong communication skills and a wide breadth of basic technical understanding including Google, Apple, and MDM technologies. LOCATION: 313 W. Winton Ave. Hayward, CA 94544 - This position is fully onsite and requires attendance in-office, Monday thru Friday TYPICAL DUTIES: Assesses service requests for the purpose of maintaining the service request system for Technology. Services and providing online support and assistance to users through the County Support Center, determining and implementing solutions. Assists with the maintenance of user accounts, print queues, user files and directory structures for the purpose of ensuring compliance with related requirements. Collaborates with a variety of internal and external parties (e.g. vendors, county staff, etc.) for the purpose of providing and/or receiving information and ensuring project success. Maintain computer equipment and supply inventory for the purpose of ensuring efficient operations. Maintains network operations and software applications (e.g. servers: file, print, application, database, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring efficient operations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Four years of progressively responsible related experience and/or training, including two years related experience and/or training in telecommunications, computer, and/or network systems. Education: Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent in information technology, computer science, business administration or a related field Equivalency: Equivalent combination of education and experience.
