Education Specialist needed for a new adult transition class. Focus will be on real world applications of adult skills. The class will serve 18-21 year old special education students with intellectual disabilities. The teacher’s responsibility will be to implement their student’s IEPs which will focus on areas such as community-based instruction and career and job readiness training. The teacher, their support staff, and students will be implementing IEP goals both on and off-site throughout the day depending on area of focus (i.e. pedestrian safety, janitorial skills, resume building, landscaping, money math). Moderate/Severe credential preferred.
