Under the direction of the Administrative Director, the Credentialed Teacher for Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) is entrusted with guiding the educational journey of assigned students by constructing a dynamic and adaptable program, fostering an atmosphere that promotes both academic excellence and personal development. This position focuses on teaching the NJROTC curriculum and instilling leadership, discipline, and teamwork in students. This position manages resources, organizes extracurricular activities, and maintains connections with school staff and the community to support program goals.
Requirements / Qualifications
An earned a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Completion of Navy NJROTC instructor certification process required A California Designated Special Subjects Teaching Credential authorizing service as an administrator and instructor in a Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program must be in force and on file in the Office of the Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools. An English Learners authorization is required. Rank requirements: o E-5 through E-9 o WO-1 through WO-5 or O-1, O-2 with prior enlisted service An earned master’s degree or advanced degree of at least equivalent standard from a regionally accredited college or university desirable Tuberculosis (TB) test clearance is required Department of Justice (DOJ) Live Scan clearance is required A complete application file consists of: -Cover Letter -Certificated online application through EdJoin -Current Resume -Three letters of reference
