• Valid California Secondary/Single Subject Teaching Credential and English Learner Authorization

Comments and Other Information

The successful candidate will: • Teach the ASB and student government classes • Teach one or more periods of a course in credential area if needed • Develop the student handbook • Work with bookkeeper and schools staff to ensure ASB funds are handled in a legal and compliant manner • Coordinate school wide events such as Back to School Night, senior activities, graduation, homecoming, prom, open house, freshman orientation, assemblies, student rewards, school pep rallies, school dances, and 8th grade presentation • Work with ASB to develop school spirit and theme days • Work with the administration to develop and maintain the activities calendar • Oversee student clubs to ensure compliance • Maintain and is the primary person responsible for ASB budgets, bylaws, and constitutions • Serve on the school site leadership team • Collaborate with athletic director and coaches to support our student athletes • Promote and reinforce PBIS principles and concepts in school wide activities • Assist with supervision of school wide activities • Other related duties as assigned NONDISCRIMINATION STATEMENT The Val Verde Unified School District desires to provide a safe environment that allows all students and employees equal access to, and opportunities in, the District’s programs, services, and activities.
