Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Paraprofessional/Classroom Aide to support students and teachers in a multi-grade elementary classroom setting. The ideal candidate is student-centered, collaborative, organized, and comfortable providing academic and behavioral support to small groups and individual students under the direction of the classroom teacher. Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Provides small group and individual instructional support under the direction of the classroom teacher. • Confidently plans and leads structured small group instruction and intervention activities as directed by the classroom teacher. • Supports implementation of teacher-created lesson plans, instructional activities, and learning centers. • Collaborates with the classroom teacher during weekly lesson planning and instructional preparation. • Assists the teacher in differentiating instruction to meet diverse student academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. • Supports students in maintaining focus, following classroom routines, and completing assignments with increasing independence. • Assists teachers with classroom management and implementation of positive behavior support systems. • Collaborates with school staff to support student behavioral, social-emotional, and academic success. • Supports students with conflict resolution, problem-solving, and development of appropriate peer interactions. • Supervises students during recess, lunch, before school, after school, and other assigned activities to help ensure student safety and positive behavior. • Maintains professionalism, confidentiality, and positive communication with staff, students, and families. • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to support a variety of grade levels and classroom needs in a small school setting.
