Job Summary

Math Teacher Position – 2026-2027 Junipero Serra High School, a Catholic coed college preparatory school in Southern California, is seeking a passionate Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. Candidates should be collaborative team players with strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills. Courses: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB & BC. Responsibilities: - Teach high school Math using an inquiry-based approach. - Utilize formative, summative, and benchmark assessments to track student progress. - Develop and submit syllabi, unit plans, and assessments by deadlines. - Maintain a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment. - Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. - Integrate technology, including Google Suite and PowerSchool. - Participate in faculty committees and student activities. Qualifications: -Commitment to faith-based education. - Knowledge of Common Core Standards. - Experience with curriculum development and student data analysis preferred. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor’s Degree required (preferably with a major in Mathematics or a related field) and Teaching Credential and/or Masters Degree Experience: At least two years of experience as a teacher in a comprehensive high school setting and two years of minimum experience in teaching AP Calculus AB and BC Knowledge of and advocacy for the mission of Catholic Education DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master Degree in Mathematics Credential: General Secondary or Single Subject Bilingual speaking, reading, and writing abilities (Spanish)
