Job Summary

The Higher Education Specialist supports the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of dual enrollment programs serving high school students. This position works collaboratively with secondary school partners, college faculty, admissions and records, counseling, and instructional staff to ensure equitable access, smooth enrollment processes, and high-quality student support. In addition, the Specialist provides advising and guidance to students and families regarding post-secondary pathways, courseselection,policies,andtransitiontopostsecondaryeducation,whilealsoensuringcompliancewith state, district, and institutional requirements.

Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor’sDegreefromanaccreditedcollegeoruniversity Experienceworkingwithdualenrollment,admissions,collegeadvising,outreach,orstudent services. Experience working with high school and/or college-aged students. Knowledgeofcollegeenrollmentprocessesandstudentsupportservices. Experience: ExperienceworkinginacommunitycollegeorK-12/collegepartnershipenvironment. Advising or counseling experience with diverse student populations. Familiaritywithstatedualenrollmentlegislationandreportingrequirements. Experience using student in formation systems (e.g.,Banner Aeries, Canvas, or similar). Bilingual speaking skills (preferred, not required).
