The Contra Costa Jewish Day School is a K-8 independent school with approximately 170 students, accredited by the California Association of Independent Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. We are seeking Lower School Teaching Assistant candidates in General Studies for the 2026-2027 school year. The Lower School Teaching Assistant positions are an invaluable opportunity for someone interested in teaching to gain experience and work with master teachers. Teaching Assistants help with classroom set-up and daily classroom activities, lead lessons of interest under the supervision of a mentor teacher(s), receive individualized coaching, and work in small groups and one-on-one with students. They support our full General Studies curriculum, including academics, arts and PE enrichment, field trips and social-emotional learning.
