Position Overview Oasis is seeking a dynamic, experienced 4th–8th Grade Spanish Teacher to join our expanding upper school team. The ideal candidate brings a passion for teaching adolescents, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to guide students through both academic and creative explorations in Spanish language and other subjects. Our Spanish classes are leveled to reflect a group at Novice 2-Novice 3 level, and a group at Intermediate 1-4 level. This is a full-time teaching position that involves interdisciplinary teaching, collaboration with colleagues across subject areas, and leading Spanish classes. You will also support other enrichment classes like math, art, music, or drama, based on experience. Key Responsibilities Teach Level 2 (Novice 2-3) 4th-6th grade Spanish Language Arts using ACTFL aligned, Organic World Language, and inquiry-based instructional practices. Teach Level 4 (Intermediate 1-3) 5th-8th grade Spanish Language Arts using ACTFL aligned, Organic World Language, and inquiry-based instructional practices. Teach 1-2 other courses based on experience such as 4th grade math, art, music, or drama. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Collaborate with teaching teams to integrate Spanish Language concepts across disciplines and grade levels. Differentiate instruction to support a wide range of learners in a small-group setting. Implement effective classroom and behavior management practices for middle school students. Communicate regularly with families and colleagues to support student learning and development. Contribute to school-wide initiatives, events, and a positive middle school culture.
