Job Summary

Ocean Charter School (OCS) implements a Waldorf Educational approach to teach common core standards in a public school setting. We are accepting applications for Intervention Assistant positions for the 2026-2027 school year. Working each day in a TK-8th grade school setting, the aide's time will be spent directly with students as well as assisting teachers and supporting the school as a whole. The instructional aide will receive direction from and give assistance to the classroom teachers, intervention teachers, and office staff. Intervention assistants work with students one on one, in small group, and within the classroom to support them both with academic and behavioral skills. We welcome applicants who are interested in arts-based, relationship-based, experiential teaching and learning to apply. OCS offers training as well as additional professional development opportunities, mentoring, and a supportive working environment.

Requirements / Qualifications

1. AA Degree OR 48 semester units/72 quarter units from a recognized college or university OR Receipt of a passing score on the District Proficiency Test and the Instructional Assistance Test 2. Experience working with children 3. Basic organization, communication, writing, and arithmetic skills 4. Proficiency in English, both orally and in writing 5. Proficiency in elementary level math
