Job Summary

The gardening teacher position is a part time position of roughly 12 hours per week to support curriculum development and implementation of it in the garden, particularly working directly with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classes. The job entails: coordinating, overseeing, and facilitating students' hands-on experiences in the garden (planting, tending, harvesting, cooking, watering, weeding, etc.); maintaining the garden; and organizing and overseeing volunteers for the garden. The Gardening teacher is a self-starter who will also collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure that work in the garden supports the classroom curriculum, which is inspired by Waldorf education.
