Job Summary
Under the general supervision of a principal and/or designee, responsible for the distribution, collection, and evaluation of student independent studies coursework. The teacher plans instruction, assists students in setting personal goals, and implements curriculum while clearly communicating progress to students and families. By modeling competence, honesty, and accountability, the teacher creates a learning environment that encourages self-reliance and prepares students for postsecondary education, vocational training, or the workforce.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education Required: • Valid California Teaching Credential and EL (English Language) Authorization. • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Experience Required: • Two (2) years of successful classroom teaching experience required. • Experience in independent studies or innovative learning environment is highly desirable.
