Job Summary
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly campus environment in support of the mission of Village Christian School. This position performs general cleaning and custodial duties within assigned areas to ensure facilities are properly maintained for students, staff, and visitors. The Custodian supports daily campus operations through attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence and Christian character.
Requirements / Qualifications
A High School Diploma is preferred. Prior custodial or facilities experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing duties requiring bending, reaching, climbing ladders or stairs, prolonged standing, and repetitive motion. Applicants must demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to work cooperatively as part of a team. A commitment to modeling Christian character is required.
Applicants must submit a completed employment application and resume reflecting educational background and relevant experience. Upon hire, employees must provide documentation verifying authorization to work in the United States (I-9), complete required background checks and Live Scan fingerprinting, and provide proof of education (if applicable). Additional documentation such as TB clearance and a signed faith statement may be required in accordance with school policy and state regulations.
