Job Summary
The High School Bible 12 Teacher provides engaging and biblically grounded instruction to senior-level high school students. This position integrates a distinctly Christian worldview into all aspects of teaching while promoting spiritual growth, academic excellence, and critical thinking. The teacher develops and delivers curriculum aligned with school standards, maintains a disciplined and respectful classroom environment, and serves as a spiritual role model for students. This role supports the mission of Village Christian School by fostering a CAREing, Christ-centered educational experience that prepares students to thrive academically and spiritually.
Requirements / Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree (four-year degree) is required. A master’s degree in Biblical Studies or Education and/or a valid teaching credential is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong instructional ability, effective classroom management skills, proficiency in integrating faith and learning, and competency in instructional technology. Prior experience teaching high school students is preferred. Applicants must show commitment to modeling Christian character and alignment with the school’s Statement of Faith.
Applicants must submit a completed employment application and resume reflecting educational background and relevant teaching experience. Upon hire, employees must provide documentation verifying authorization to work in the United States (I-9), complete required background checks and Live Scan fingerprinting, and provide proof of degree and credentials. Additional documentation such as TB clearance and a signed faith statement may be required in accordance with school policy and state regulations.

The High School Bible 12 Teacher develops and delivers engaging Bible curriculum; maintains course outlines and lesson plans; assesses student progress; prepares grade and attendance reports; communicates with students and parents; maintains classroom discipline; participates in department and school meetings; fulfills supervision and extra-duty assignments; attends overnight trips as assigned; and performs additional duties as directed by administration. The position requires strong classroom management, collaboration with colleagues, professional communication, and a commitment to spiritual leadership consistent with the mission of Village Christian School.
This is a full-time, exempt position. Compensation ranges from $50,000 – $65,000 annually and is dependent upon qualifications and experience. Teachers with four or more assigned periods are eligible for benefits.
This position reports directly to the High School Principal.
