Job Summary
POSITION OVERVIEW The Fiscal Analyst is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of fiscal operations and procedures, the analysis of fiscal data and the preparation of fiscal and budgetary reports for the District and its programs. Performs complex accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, and fiscal reporting duties in support of District programs and operations, including State and Federal Categorical Programs. Responsibilities include maintaining financial records, processing budgets and fiscal transactions, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, preparing reports and reconciliations, analyzing fiscal data for accuracy and compliance, and supporting budget development and reporting requirements. Assists with vendor payments, receivables, account reconciliations, and year-end fiscal activities while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, Board Policies, and Administrative Regulations. Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or accounting or equivalent; supplemented by two (2) years’ experience in a responsible accounting/auditing capacity, e.g., preparing cost-benefit analyses, auditing reports, special studies of internal operations, and multi-departmental budget analyses. Experience: Two (2) years of experience working in a California school district or County Office of Education preferred. Licenses and Certificates: Requires a valid driver’s license
