Under the direction of the superintendent, the principal provides the leadership necessary to achieve a high quality instructional program within a safe, positive and nurturing environment. The school principal is a member of the District’s administrative team and offers advice and support to the superintendent. The principal represents the school to the community and works closely with staff, parents and students to achieve the district’s mission. Laytonville Elementary has an enrollment of approximately 215 students in grades TK-5th. We value our small town setting, where staff are closely entwined within the community, working together to provide a variety of services that create a learning environment our students deserve.
Requirements / Qualifications
The EDJOIN application process requires: • California Administrative Services Credential or Credential in Progress • Teaching experience at the TK-12 grades • Uploading required documents and credential(s) Please submit the following documents: - Letter of Introduction (upload a brief letter of introduction indicating the qualifications and experiences you have had that will serve the Laytonville Unified School District) - Letter(s) of Recommendation (submit at least three (3) current letters of recommendation from individuals who attest to your ability to lead in a district like the Laytonville Unified School District, including one from a current supervisor (submitted letters should be no older than two years)) - Resume - Copies of Official Transcripts - Copies of Administrative Services Credential or Credential in Progress
