The Martinez Unified School District is looking for dynamic, innovative K-5 teachers to work as part of our collaborative Professional Learning Communities. We are seeking individuals who are exploring new and innovative ways to educate the students of the 21st Century including the full integration of technology in the classroom and the use of one-to-one computing devices. Additionally, we are seeking teachers interested in preparing College and Career-Ready students who can critically think, problem solve and successfully communicate both orally and in writing.

The Martinez Unified School District has an outstanding staff committed to the teaching of the new Common Core Standards. Teachers use Data Director to collect assessment data from common benchmark grade level assessments and the California Standards Test to drive daily instruction.

All teachers have a 45 (K-3) or 50 (4-5) minute preparation and planning period each day. These prep periods are coordinated by grade level to also provide time for staff collaboration. Also, all four of our elementary schools enjoy early-release Wednesdays for professional development, grade level meetings, cross-grade level articulation meetings and staff meetings. Our schools are also supported by exceptional parents who contribute significantly to our success.

In addition to competitive salaries the Martinez Unified School district also provides district-paid full-family medical (2013 Kaiser family rates), dental and vision coverage for all employees.
