Vista Oaks Charter School is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year.
Provide direct and/or related services to all individuals whose articulation, language, voice or fluency adversely affects the individual’s educational performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.Assesses students who are referred by the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team, teachers, or parents by measuring their speech and language skills and interprets the results to other specialists and parents. Participates on appropriate IEP team to determine referrals for speech and language assessments; eligibility for placement in special education programs and designated instructional services; develop goals and objectives for student individual educational plans. Plans and carries out a program of continuous diagnosis and therapy designed to help students improve their communication skills. Consults and serves as a resource to staff members, parents, and other professionals regarding the needs of students with speech and language problems. Seeks to work in a harmonious way with parents and staff that bring about effective communication. Enhances professional standards by participating in district approved professional growth activities. Maintains files of speech and language students.Maintains reports as required by federal, state and district regulations.
Hybrid in person in Byron and virtual. Some in person required.
