Job Description / Essential Elements:

AmeriCorps Borderlands members provide 1:1 to 1:3 ratio of academic tutoring in English language development and functional academics on a daily basis to 159 underperforming kindergarten through 12th grade and special education students at 18 service sites countywide.

• A willingness to serve on disaster-relief assignments in the event of an emergency.
Requirements / Qualifications
DEADLINE: All applications and supporting documents must be received by 5 PM on Friday, July 17, 2026. 1) Must be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident. 2) Must be 17 years of age or older. (Candidates aged 17 require the Parental Consent for Minor Background Check) 3) Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate. 4) Must be able to serve 8 daytime hours, Monday - Friday, and some evenings and weekends. 5) Must have reliable transportation.
