Job Summary
Cornerstone Academy is looking for a 3rd Grade Teacher to guide students toward excellence in academic, social, physical, and spiritual development based on Christian principles. Under the direction of the Principal, this position will instruct students with planning and conducting activities for a balanced student experience of academic instruction. Daily responsibilities will include instructing students individually and in groups by using various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, demonstrations and hands-on activities; preparing materials and classroom for class activities; establishing clear objectives for all lessons and projects; assign and grade class work and homework; maintain accurate and complete student records as required by law, and administrative regulations; use technology to teach and communicate with students, administration and parents. In addition, the teacher will be responsible to supervise all activities and field trips to insure the safety of each child at all times; meet with parents to discuss their child’s progress; work with same grade level teachers; attend meetings, open house, and professional training; and all other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess the minimum requirements of a current California Preliminary or Cleared Multiple/Single Subject Teaching Credential, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong written and oral communication skills, classroom management skills, and one year of Microsoft Office Suite experience. Preferred requirements are one year of experience working in a classroom setting and one year of experience working in a Christian school. School begins August 3, 2026 and ends May 31, 2027 Days/Hours: Mondays – Fridays; Full-time, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Salary will be based on work experience.
