Job Summary
EDCOE Special Services is seeking a collaborative Special Education teacher with Mild to Moderate Support Needs credential to join our team of Resource Specialists who support EDCOE's Charter Alternative Programs grade K-8. To learn more about our Charter Programs please go to https://charter.edcoe.org/ Under the direction of the Special Services Executive Director, or designee, the Special Education Teacher will be responsible for facilitating Special Education student success in academics, interpersonal skills and activities of daily living through implementing approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities, outcomes; addressing specific needs of students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
Requirements / Qualifications
Experience: One year experience in related teaching assignment; work with students with severe handicaps preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree and valid teaching credential, or eligibility for appropriate credential/permit.
