Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services, the Director works with schools to provide instructional leadership and support related to instruction, intervention and categorical programs; serves as an integral team member responsible for the development and implementation of curricular programs and improvement strategies across all schools; reports to and assists the Assistant Superintendent, Educational services to meet the needs of students, school leaders and teachers to ensure that student learning and achievement are maximized and capacity is built in principal and teacher instructional leadership; and to do job-related work as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree required Valid California Administrative Services Credential Minimum of five years successful experience in teaching and educational leadership Experience in curriculum, instruction, professional development, or instructional leadership Preferred Qualifications: Successful principal experience (3+ years) Experience leading district committees, instructional initiatives, or professional development systems Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred Experience supporting designated/integrated ELD and systems that improve access, opportunity, and achievement learners
