Job Summary
A co-ed JV wrestling head coach leads and develops junior varsity wrestlers of all genders by teaching foundational wrestling techniques, match strategy, and proper conditioning. They plan and run practices, coach during competitions, and emphasize discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork while helping athletes build confidence and prepare for advancement to the varsity level. The coach also serves as a positive role model, supporting student-athletes’ growth both on the mat and in the classroom.
Requirements / Qualifications
Prior wrestling coaching experience at the high school level or higher is preferred, though qualified candidates with comparable experience are encouraged to apply.
Application Requirements: -Completed EdJoin Application -Letter of Introduction (Please state the position(s) that you are applying for) REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL COACHES (once selected): - NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching & the CA State Component - Concussion Certificate - Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate - Valid CPR Certificate - Valid First Aid Certificate - Heat Acclimatization Certificate - TB test - Guidelines for the Workplace & Youth Sports Protocol & Recommendations (link will be provided) - Mandated Reporter (Child Abuse Certificate) - Fingerprint clearance (once hired, the applicant will receive an appointment from Human Resources for the fingerprint process)

The salaries to be paid for extra duty assignments are based on a percentage of Column Il of the existing salary schedule. Internal candidates will be considered first with Certificated personnel being priority followed by classified and other personnel.
