La Habra High School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated English/Theater teacher for a full-time (5/5) position serving students in grades 9–12. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for literature, writing, performance, and student engagement, with the ability to teach a range of English and Theater courses. Responsibilities include planning and delivering standards-based instruction, fostering creativity and collaboration, supporting student performances and productions, and creating an inclusive and positive classroom environment that promotes academic and artistic growth. La Habra High School proudly offers a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center featuring a full-time auditorium lead staff member, a black box theater, a dedicated tech workshop, and ample theater storage to support high-quality productions and hands-on student learning experiences. Feeder schools have award-winning VAPA programs A valid California Single Subject Credential in English is required. High school theater teaching and/or production experience is highly desirable.

Effective 7.1.2025:
2025-2026: Salary schedule increase of 2% and a 2% off-schedule payment at year-end.
2026–2027: Salary schedule increase of 60% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations as provided in the State Budget Act; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end.
2027–2028: Salary schedule increase of 50% of the statutory funded COLA, plus any funded ongoing augmentations as provided in the State Budget Act; 2% off-schedule payment at year-end
