Requirements / Qualifications
Required Education and/or Experience: 1. High School Diploma or the equivalent; and/or 2. Two (2) years of college (48 units + ), or Associate's degree (A.A.) or higher; and/or two (2) years of experience working within a classroom setting, and 3. Pass a local assessment of reading and math skills, and 4. Demonstrate desire and experience working successfully with students exhibiting behavior problems in the classroom. Tutoring experience and/or working with students preferred.

Under the supervision of the Principal, qualified candidate will hold 2 positions: Teacher's Aide (ACE) and Campus Aide. As an ACE you will work directly with an assigned certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom or other learning environment; assist teachers with the preparation of instructional materials; document student services; technology; assist with implementing IEP's; and provide consistent behavior support. As a Campus Aide you will patrol and monitor the campus to maintain order and security; observe students during passing periods between classes and lunch periods; and assure timely return of students to class. * Competency test will be administered to qualified applicants.
* Upon hire may need to provide supporting Education documentation (College units, AA or higher Degree, certificate copy) if required by position or claimed on application.
