Job Summary

Job Summary

Newly hired Math Teachers are eligible for a one-time $5,000 stipend at the completion of a full school year of service and good standing with a satisfactory end of year evaluation. The High School Mathematics Teacher delivers instruction grounded in the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics and the California Mathematics Framework. The teacher brings deep knowledge of course standards, identifies essential standards, and uses clear learning targets and proficiency scales to focus instruction and assessment on what matters most. Lessons are designed to build conceptual understanding, strengthen reasoning, and develop problem-solving skills while encouraging students to explain their thinking and connect mathematics to meaningful situations. In the fully remote environment, the teacher creates engaging learning experiences through a thoughtful balance of synchronous and asynchronous instruction, including discussion and collaborative problem solving. Strong online teaching promotes active interaction among students, teachers, and content while maintaining clear expectations, well-structured course modules, and consistent communication.
