Job Summary

Job Summary

Focus is on increasing student achievement through small group and/or Title I instruction classes, utilizing the State frameworks and courses of study adopted by the Board of Education. Under the supervision of the site principal, the Interventionist will work directly with students to implement differentiated instructional strategies that are intended to increase student learning with a focus on an English core course intervention and an additional math intervention course. This is a fully qualified professional position where the teacher is trained to deliver critical components of middle school education to children. The Interventionist works with individual student and/or groups of students to improve academic progress. Advancement to this position requires teacher credentials plus the demonstrated ability either through coursework, certificates, or experience, to deliver subject matter and learning style concepts that enhance student skill and knowledge development in English as well as showing an understanding of supporting intervention skills in math.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Multiple Subject California teaching credential with ELD authorization. If your English Learner Authorization (CLAD/BCLAD/EL/ELA/SDAIE) is not embedded in your credential, you must currently hold or qualify for a CLAD or BCLAD certificate.
