Job Summary

Oakland School for the Arts seeks a dedicated and student-centered Artist Teacher – Visual Art to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 school year. This position focuses on teaching middle school Visual Art and select high school periods in Visual Art. The ideal candidate is an experienced art educator who can inspire creativity, foster technical skills across multiple media, and support students in developing both artistic and conceptual work. This position requires flexibility, collaboration, and a deep understanding of adolescent learners. The Artist Teacher will also assist with curriculum design, exhibition planning, studio management, and departmental initiatives.
