WHY THIS ROLE This is an opportunity to do more than coordinate programs. The Campus Minister – Retreats & Student Leadership accompanies young men during an important period of their lives and helps bring the Catholic and Franciscan mission of St. Francis to life throughout the school community. In this role, you will: •Lead signature retreat programs — Day with Francis, Soar, and Emmaus — that support students' faith journeys from freshman through senior year. •Moderate the LIFE Team, our student campus-ministry leadership program, and mentor students as they develop into faith-filled leaders. •Create meaningful opportunities for students to experience prayer, reflection, brotherhood, service, and Catholic faith. •Support mission-driven student organizations and service initiatives. •Teach up to two Religious Studies courses within a department that values collaboration, instructional excellence, and genuine care for students. •Join a collaborative Franciscan Mission and Ministry team committed to the spiritual formation and development of young men. JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Director of Franciscan Mission and Ministry, the Campus Minister – Retreats & Student Leadership leads student retreats, directs and moderates the LIFE Team, and supports school-wide prayer, service, and faith-formation initiatives that bring the Capuchin Franciscan charism to life on campus. This is a highly relational position for someone who enjoys working directly with high school students and helping young people connect faith with their everyday lives. The role also includes teaching up to two Religious Studies courses and collaborating closely with the Religion Department to support curriculum consistency and instructional excellence. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We seek a faithful, energetic, and organized candidate to work with young people. A strong candidate will: •Model Catholic faith and the Capuchin Franciscan charism. •Connect naturally with high school students and model adolescent faith formation. •Lead, mentor, and develop student leaders. •Facilitate prayer, reflection, retreats, and faith discussions. •Coordinate events, manage multiple priorities, and communicate pastorally with families, staff, and partners. •Maintain professional boundaries and student safety. •Work well independently and collaboratively. •Teach up to two Religious Studies courses. QUALIFICATIONS Required •Bachelor's degree. •Experience with adolescents in ministry, education, retreats, service, or leadership. •Knowledge of Catholic teaching supporting the mission of St. Francis High School. •Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. •Ability to clear background checks and student-safety requirements. Preferred •Degree (BA/MA) in Theology, Religious Studies, Ministry, or Education. •2+ years experience in campus/youth ministry, retreat planning, or teaching middle/high school Theology. •CA Teaching Credential, Catechetical Certification, or Youth Ministry Certificate (can be completed post-hire).
