OVERVIEW A teacher in Sacred Heart Catholic School must be an individual who lives our mission and shares a love of our students. Each teacher is called to aid students in their Christian formation by exemplifying Catholic living, both in and out of the classroom. A teacher is accountable to the Principal and expected to provide education to the grades and/or subjects assigned, to implement the school mission and philosophy, to follow the policies of the Diocese of Stockton and in the staff and parent handbooks of Sacred Heart Catholic School, and adhere to the directives set by school administration. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY The teacher establishes a faith-filled environment, demonstrates leadership and knowledge of content, and facilitates learning for students without specific direction, using considerable judgment.

Sacred Heart School in Patterson is in search of dynamic teachers seeking positions in a K-8 setting. Candidates must
- be able to maintain a systematic written plan for organization, curriculum, and instruction, including daily lesson plans
- utilize research-based instructional strategies, teaching methods, and technology
- address the needs of all learners while maintaining a classroom environment conducive for learning
- communicate effectively and in a timely manner with parents regarding student progress
- be an individual who lives our mission and shares a love of our students
A current and valid California Teaching Credential is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications: Is an active, practicing Catholic Holds a valid teaching credential, preferred California credential Has a minimum of five years experienced teaching, preferred in Catholic schools.
