College & Career Counselor (Temporary Contract Position) 2026–2027 School Year Coast Union High School District is seeking a student-centered College & Career Counselor to support students in college and career readiness, Dual Enrollment, CTE pathways, and social-emotional wellness. Located in beautiful Cambria on California’s Central Coast, Coast Union High School is a small, semi-rural school serving approximately 160 students. We pride ourselves on personalized support, strong student relationships, robust CTE pathways, and expanding Dual Enrollment opportunities. Responsibilities Include: College and career counseling FAFSA, scholarships, and postsecondary planning support Dual Enrollment and CTE coordination Individual and group social-emotional counseling Career workshops, college visits, and student support activities Collaboration with families, staff, and community partners Grant reporting and data tracking Position Details: Temporary, grant-funded contracted position, Non-tenure track, 180 workdays per year (DOSA calendar) Join a small district where relationships matter and staff make a meaningful impact every day.

Requirements / Qualifications

Letter of Introduction Valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential EL Authorization Copy of transcripts 3 current letters of recommendation Bilingual is desired.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in School Counseling or related field required (Master’s preferred) Experience working with at-risk youth preferred Bilingual Spanish preferred
