THIS POSITION IS DUAL CERTIFICATION AND IS OPEN TO BOTH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CANDIDATES BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor and/or an assigned lead, performs journey-level work in the installation and maintenance of plumbing fixtures, and systems. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: This is a journey-level skilled maintenance class in the plumbing trade. The class of Plumber is distinguished from the class of Irrigation Technician in that the latter performs skilled and semiskilled duties in the maintenance, improvement, and establishment of irrigation systems. The class of Plumber is distinguished from the class of Grounds Maintenance Worker in that the latter performs a variety of unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled grounds maintenance duties on school grounds, tracks, athletic fields, and playing grounds. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school. Experience: Two (2) years of journey-level plumbing experience. Licenses and Certifications: Must possess a valid California Class C Driver's License and be insurable by the District's insurance carrier for liability purposes.
