BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Executive Director of Technology & Educational Services, install, configure and troubleshoot computers, software and peripheral devices. Perform routine maintenance, service, and repair of computers and related peripherals. Support end users in operation of devices and accounts. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: Perform a variety of technical diagnostic, maintenance and repair duties to assure the proper operation and maintenance of District computer equipment; maintain and repair computers, monitors, printers and other peripheral equipment. E Provide technical assistance to staff concerning hardware or software and troubleshoot malfunctioning stand-alone and networked equipment. E Receive new computers and peripheral equipment; record serial numbers on appropriate site inventory; engrave equipment with proper OD; deliver, assemble, install and instruct staff in correct operating procedures of new equipment. E Install and perform District approved hardware and software upgrades and maintenance. E Service, clean and perform preventative maintenance on computer hardware equipment to assure proper operation. E Configure, deliver and install computers, monitors, printers, keyboards and other related peripherals. E Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment. E Maintain an inventory of all district computer configurations by site and department. E Communicate with various District personnel, outside contractors and others to exchange information and coordinate computer maintenance and repair activities. E Operate a variety of electronic equipment including computer and office equipment, diagnostic software and various maintenance and repair tools and equipment; operate a vehicle to conduct work. E Diagnose and correct local area network and connectivity issues. E Perform related duties as assigned. Requirements / Qualifications

Graduation from high school. Post secondary training in computers and network systems. A+ certification preferred.

Valid California Driver's License
