Job Summary
Vaughn Next Century Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and credentialed School Nurse to lead and manage comprehensive student health services across five school sites. As a key member of the educational team, the School Nurse ensures compliance with all applicable health laws and regulations, supports student access to learning through health services, and supervises a team of medical assistants. This role is critical in promoting a safe, healthy, and inclusive school environment for all students.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Education & Licensure 1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing or a related field from an accredited institution. 2. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing and maintained in good standing. 3. Possession of a valid California School Nurse Services Credential issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Certifications 1. Current certification in CPR and First Aid (Healthcare Provider level). 2. AED certification preferred. Experience 1. Experience supporting students with specialized health needs. 2. Experience in pediatric, school nursing, public health, or a related clinical setting preferred. 2. Prior experience supervising or coordinating support staff preferred.

$97,760.00 - $122,088.84 (FY 26-27)
210 days of work per year
10 Sick Days per year (accrued on a per payroll basis)
