Job Summary

Under supervision of the CASPP Program Director, The Preschool Master Teacher assumes responsibility for the operation of the OCESD preschool classroom to which they are assigned. The Master Teacher is aware of each child's mental, physical, and emotional needs and potential; consults with parents, administrators, and child development specialists; and provides a school readiness program based on the California Education Code, California Health and Safety Codes, and the policies and procedures of the Oroville City Elementary School District

Requirements / Qualifications

Possess a Master Teacher, Site Supervisor or comparable ECE permit and must be kept said permit current OR submit proof of eligibility for the Child Development Master Teacher Permit or higher- level permit. To be considered, upload transcripts showing all ECE/CD coursework. If selected for hire, applicant will work with CSPP Director to apply. The Child Development Master Teacher Permit must be obtained within 6 months of hire date. An AA degree is required, a BA is preferred. Possess organizational skills with expertise in formulating curriculum. Has knowledge of preschool/childcare programs. Utilizes appropriate activities to ensure student success.
