Job Summary
Under the direction of the principal, facilitates and coordinates the implementation of a 7-12 Academic Support class and provides instruction to individuals and small groups of students with identified needs; and does other related functions as required. This position is directly responsible to the Administration.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Must possess a valid Preliminary or Clear Credential 2. Appropriate documentation authorizing instruction to English language learners 3. Two to three years of successful classroom teaching experience is preferred. 4. Requires additional specialized skills in working with individual and small groups of students who are “at-risk” and in need of intervention in the areas of Reading, Math, and Language. 5. Ability to target instructional strategies based upon student(s) needs.
