Serving students in preschool through 6th grade, the school psychologist intern may serve as a member of IEP teams, participate in decisions regarding student placement, test current and potential special education students, provide staff and parents with recommendations on appropriate interventions and work directly with Special Day Class and Resource Specialist staff in implementing goals and objectives. The school psychologist intern may work with parents, outside agencies, school and SELPA personnel as appropriate, monitor placements of students, and provide leadership to school staff in curricular and behavior modifications to meet the needs of students with special needs.
Requirements / Qualifications
Enrolled in a graduate level school psychologist program. Must hold a valid California internship credential with school psychologist authorization or a letter from your College or University indicating eligibility in lieu of a credential. Bilingual Preferred.
