Job Description: Irvine Chinese Immersion Academy is seeking a motivated and student-centered Intern School Counselor to support the social-emotional and academic development of our K–8 students. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, small-school environment while working toward a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential. The Intern School Counselor will work under the supervision of a credentialed school counselor and school leadership to provide counseling services, support student well-being, and contribute to a positive school culture. This role is ideal for a counseling intern who values close relationships, meaningful student impact, and mentorship in a supportive educational setting. Job Requirements: Required Qualifications: Enrollment in a Master’s program in School Counseling, Psychology, or a related field Eligibility for or possession of a California PPS School Counseling Intern Credential Strong interest in working with K–8 students Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered practices Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working with children or adolescents in a school or community setting Bilingual (Mandarin preferred but not required) Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse school community

Candidates must submit the following documents: - Completed EDJOIN application - Letter of Introduction (500 words): Please describe your teaching experience, instructional approaches, and long-term goals as an educator. - Current resume - Two to three current letters of recommendation (dated within the past three years, including at least one from a direct supervisor) - University internship agreement (upon selection)
