Job Summary

Job Summary

This full-time position will support students at Rio Valley Charter School and teach VAPA classes in the areas of Theatre and Visual Arts. Candidates must hold an appropriate Art/VAPA teaching credential. This position will be based in Elk Grove with occasional travel to local parks and our additional resource center in Lodi. Performances and showcases are part of the job requirements and may occur outside of normal school hours.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in art education, fine arts, music, or related field • Valid California teaching credential with authorization in a Visual and/or Performing Art • English Learner authorization • Experience and knowledge of the Common Core standards and standards-based curriculum, behavior management techniques, record keeping, student assessment, planning for individual student learning needs, and child development • Able to travel with reliable transportation to various locations to accomplish objectives of this role
