We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Assistant Principal to help lead River City High School into the future. As an educational leader of the school, the Assistant Principal will be responsible for providing effective leadership, fostering a positive and collaborative school culture, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality education to all students. The Assistant Principal will work closely with the staff, students, parents, and the broader community to uphold the school's mission and achieve its goals.

WASHINGTON UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL Job Description The high school assistant principal is responsible to the school principal. The duties and responsibilities of the high school assistant principal are as follows: 1. To supervise and evaluate certificated personnel. 2. To supervise and evaluate classified personnel. 3. In the absence of the principal, to assume responsibility for the operation of the school when designated. 4. To work with District administration in curriculum development, articulation, student personnel problems, and testing programs. 5. To direct and supervise the counseling department. 6. To establish and maintain communications and working relationships with students, faculty, parents, District personnel, including Special Services and community agencies. 7. To plan and develop the master schedule. 8. To coordinate data processing. 9. To implement, assess, upgrade, and supervise the school’s instructional program. 10. To attend job related meetings. 11. To oversee student attendance accounting 12. To perform additional duties assigned by the principal or District administration as adjunct to regular stated duties. 13. To supervise building and grounds maintenance and coordinate the use of school facilities. 14. To develop, enforce, and coordinate student discipline and work with police and juvenile court authorities. 15. To supervise safety program, plan and hold regular fire and disaster drills. 16. To assume responsibility for the supervision of school activities, including athletic events and social events, and to assign certificated staff to assist in such supervision. 17. To promote professional development by providing inservice, instructional skills training, peer coaching, and other training of value to the educational program. 18. To provide incentives and motivation for staff members to enhance school climate. 19. To coordinate the preparation of reports and research related data as needed by the District administration and the principal.
