Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Site Principal, the candidate is responsible for teaching general music to pupils in grades TK-5. Implement instruction that aligns closely with the nine-point National Music Education Standards which includes singing, playing instruments, dance and movement, analysis, performance, literacy, and historical context .
Requirements / Qualifications
Holds a California Teaching Credential in Music Education Bachelor's Degree with major or minor in Music Band experience preferred First Aid and CPR certification English Language Authorization or CLAD equivalent Ability to play at least one standard orchestral instrument or ability to sing•Orff-Schulwek training preferred•Experience as a school music teacher
