Element Education is seeking an energetic and innovative leader to serve as School Director for Dimensions Collaborative School. DCS is a personalized learning school committed to providing flexibility for homeschool families, seeking access to campus, virtual, and community learning opportunities. Through a constructivist approach, DCS guides students in becoming agents of their own learning. With operations throughout San Diego County, students engage in real world and meaningful learning. Last Day To Submit Application, Materials, and Preliminary Task: June 15, 2026 Required In-Person Interview: June 18, 2026
Requirements / Qualifications
Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree - California Administrative Services Credential Strongly Preferred: - Experience in team leadership and mentoring teachers - Strong written, verbal, and leadership skills - Knowledge of independent study/homeschooling/personalized learning - Experience with competency-based assessment

The School Director is primarily responsible for serving as the school’s educational leader in promoting and implementing the vision of the school. It is crucial the School Director establish and maintain an environment which supports experimentation, collaboration, and objective reflection. The school operates throughout San Diego County with a belief that all the world’s a classroom. The hybrid workplace includes remote and on-site roles.
Seeking resourceful, creative, and driven candidates interested in joining a team dedicated to developing innovative practices, efficient systems, and strong relationships while cultivating a generation of life-long and self-determined learners.
Element Education is a non-profit corporation which oversees two publicly funded charter schools. Our mission is to promote a culture of education which empowers learners to find and develop their passion and to inspire the natural desire to explore and learn through choice and flexibility. We refer to students’ learning styles (dispositions, modalities, interests, talents, and environment) as well as the developmental stages of learning when collaborating with the student, parents, and mentors in developing a personalized learning plan unique to each student. During their educational journey, students demonstrate mastery by making progress toward expertise in areas related to their educational goals, autonomy through choice and self-directed learning activities, and a sense of purpose by engaging in meaningful learning which contributes to something larger than themselves.
