Learning Specialist Stanbridge Academy is a private school in San Mateo serving K-12 students with mildmoderate learning differences. We seek a resource specialist to provide classroom support to students, professional support to our teachers, and administrative support to the school. Requirements for this position: Four years of successful experience as a teacher in a classroom that serves student with special needs Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field Strong familiarity with special education practices and the IEP process in particular Extensive background in one or more specific areas of instruction: reading, writing, mathematics, speech and language development, etc. A tolerant, measured approach to students Preferred for this position: Mild-moderate education specialist credential Master’s degree in special education or a related field A familiarity with positive behavioral supports
